I've heard rumblings that that a decision for the 2012 SA season should be made before Christmas. Lets hope. I look forward to a Quackin' good time in 2012.
_________________
Don't suffer from madness - Enjoy every minute of it.

Ducks seem to be everywhere. I had a look around a few weeks ago and we've got heaps here in SA too. I been to the riverland, the lower lakes and the dams around Adelaide.

I counted over 3000 (hardheads, blackies and teal) in an area of the lower lakes. The ducks seem to be back where the water has been flushed with fresh water. A lot of the water in the lakes last year was quite salty.....it would sting your eyes like sea water. Anyway, anywhere the fresh water hasn't really reached yet is still a little quiet or at least it was when I looked around.

It'll be interesting to see how the current North NSW floods impact things. I wonder how many ducks will head for the flood waters now that there's some good habitat here. I'll take a look around after the New Year and let you know.
_________________
Don't suffer from madness - Enjoy every minute of it.
